Armed man steals money and farmer's daughter

Saturday, July 20 2002, 22:04

MAEBASHI, Gunma Prefecture - A gunman early Saturday morning robbed a home in Maebashi, Gunma prefecture. The man apparently stole approximately 13,000 yen, but even more valuable was the 19-year-old daughter of the farmer he robbed.

The man, armed with a hunting rifle, stole the money and the daughter of the farmer, Kenzo Tsubaki (55), around 1am.

The daughter is a student at a trade school in Gunma prefecture.

The gunman told the farmer he would retun the daughter after distancing himself from the home. He is said to be in his 40's and wearing a polo shirt with green pants and a mask.

As of late Saturday morning, there was still no trace of the gunman or the daughter. (Zone81.com)

Caesar's Commentary

What was that guy thinking? Well, I guess if you can only find 13,000 yen to steal, you might as well take the daughter too. At least have some fun.

What boggles me is that this farmer and his wife could not stop this 40-year-old guy from taking their daughter. Didn't they put up some kind of fight? I mean it is three against one...

It is not like the guy is going to shoot the gun, he is Japanese. They have nads the size of mosquitos.
