How not to deal with too much traffic

Tuesday, July 23 2002, 10:14

LECENTER, Minnesota - Gregory Peter Carr was a little angry about some heavy traffic near his south-central Minnesota home last weekend. Carr allegedly took matters into his own hands.

Carr, 42, of New Prague, Minnesota reportedly took pot shots at numerous vehicles passing along County Roads 29 and 164 Saturday morning. No one was injured, but several cars were hit by the six rounds fired, according to the sheriff.

Authorities were notified about 11 a.m.

The LeSueur County Sheriff's officers eventually found Carr in a nearby soybean field. He was being held at a jail in LeCenter, Minn., where he will remain until his first court appearance scheduled for today.

Carr, armed with a 12-gauge shotgun and approximately 15 rounds of ammunition, surrendered without incident, authorities stated.

Carr was apparently upset with the amount of traffic in the area of his residence, including County Roads 29 (also known as 15th Street, where the suspect's home is located). He reportedly told authorities he wanted the vehicles to slow down and take alternate routes. (Zone81.com)

Caesar's Commentary

Hey if you can't get your way, make everybody obey you by wielding a shotgun! Love the US.

Here in Japan, if people took to shotguns every time the traffic got heavy, we would all be shot. Let's bring Mr. Carr and his shotgun to Japan for a few days and see what happens...

I would often like to pull out a shotgun and take pot shots at several people here in Japan. Here are just a few:

  • Bosozoku

  • Pushy little Japanese dudes on crowded trains who seem to be taking advantage of the crowd to vent frustrations by elbowing people

  • Politicians with loud speakers

  • Japanese people who give me the annoying little "wave your hand in front of your face" gesture which is supposed to mean "no" or "I don't need it." That gesture really ticks me off!

  • Japanese who can't look at foreigners in the eye

  • Right-wingers in black trucks

That about sums it up for now, did I leave anyone off the list?

For a review of how to deal with these annoying people, please see my article from July 9, 2002 called "Mr. Softie tried to kill me." http://www.zone81.com/arch_news/1026111184447/

What about annoying high school girls

Yes. Shoot the annoying high school girls. Anyone who professes to having a hobby of either sleeping or shopping will immediately be gunned down.
