ROCKWOOD, New York - Call it a high-minded gesture. An upstate New York shop owner wants to raise money for her local volunteer fire department by raffling off a marijuana water pipe.
Ina Kurz is a pro-marijuana activist in the tiny hamlet of Rockwood, just inside the Adirondack Park. She's known in the area for organizing pro-marijuana festivals and selling pot paraphernalia at her store.
Kurz is offering to raffle off an expensive bong to raise cash for local firefighters.
The fire chief has yet to respond to the offer.
