Granted a lot dont but its like a Japanese person going to North American and speaking English. Does everyone stare in amazement, mouths open and slowly saying amazing! (sugoi) And then there are the others that just ignore your japanese and answer you in english, terrible English. I cant recall a time when a Japanese man said thank you at my store and I answered with your welcome in Japanese for fear Id offend him. Got a silly story? Share it. I have to admit though, its given me a great will to amaze the crap out of people.
