The weird thing is that they expect to take a year to develop a similar concept for males. The thing is simply a stopwatch with a coating which is somewhat detached to a bikini with a rope. Is it that it will take time to set up a lab and fly all the rocket scientists from all the different countries over to figure out how to attach the rope to swimtrunks, or is it so we can be entertained again next year with a new article about the newest innovation designed to save sunbathing men from either UV overdose or bikinilines?

that's nothing, my first visit to a sento included electrocution.

i went with a female friend (i'm male) and i was slightly apprehensive abt public nudity.

i thought she was making fun of my fear when she said, as i was going in, you're going to get electrocuted.

turns out she wasn't being metaphoric. they had a warm pool, a steam room and a hot pool. and in the hot pool was an area that actually gives you electric shocks in the water. supposedly it's therapeutic, but i found it unpleasant and disturbing.

the locals looked bemused, but some of them don't seem to think much more of it than me.
